Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Manchester City's press conference ahead of the Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund.

Both teams have made strong starts in Europe with the pair locked together on seven points from three games ahead of Wednesday night's clash at the Etihad.

Blues boss Pep Guardiola will be joined by star striker and former Dortmund man Erling Haaland to speak to the media. The City chief will address his decision to cancel training today and afford his players a day off, while Haaland will talk his flying start to the season and facing his former club.

Pep makes huge call

So that big Guardiola decision we mentioned. Well it was to cancel training today.

It is an unprecedented step to cancel training the day before a Champions League game.

The Blues were expected to train on Tuesday afternoon as part of their preparations for their match against Dortmund. Usually, the first 15 minutes of these sessions are open to media as part of a UEFA broadcasting agreement.

However, City stars have been given Tuesday off and will instead only reconvene on the day of the game. It is believed to be the first time it has happened at City in all their time in European competition this century.

It's a Champions League week and that means we get the chance to hear from a player as well as boss Pep Guardiola during the press conference.

It's Erling Haaland who is due to speak this lunchtime alongside his manager. The striker has been in sensational form so far this season and scored twice as City beat Bournemouth 3-1 last time out.

He will take on his former club Borussia Dortmund when the German side visit the Etihad on Wednesday night for an intriguing Champions League tie.

We can expect Haaland to be good value in his press conference with the striker and his manager due up around 12.30pm.
