Everton have reached an agreement with Manchester City over a season-long loan deal for Jack Grealish.
Grealish was named in City's starting XI in the Premier League just seven times last season and was left out of the squad entirely for their final game of the league campaign against Fulham. He was also an unused substitute in City's FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace.
Pep Guardiola decided against naming Grealish in his squad for the Club World Cup. City were hoping to find a buyer for the England star but he is now set to spend the season on loan at Everton.
Grealish is keen to play more regular football ahead of the World Cup next summer. The former Aston Villa star was left out of England's Euro 2024 squad by Gareth Southgate and is yet to be selected for Three Lions duty by Thomas Tuchel.
Grealish signed for City in 2021 for a then British record £100million. He played a huge part in City's Treble success in 2022/23 but has struggled to recapture that form in the seasons since.
Guardiola is keen to trim his squad ahead of the new season, and news of Grealish's temporary exit comes after it was revealed Tottenham are keen to sign City winger Savinho.
The Manchester Evening News reported on Monday that it will take more than £50m for City to even consider a deal with Spurs or any other interested clubs.
