Manchester City's third kit for this season has been designed by Puma as a tribute to the Manchester weather.

The shirt and shorts feature a raindrop graphic on a grey kit symbolising the skies common to the city, while neon green patches on the neck and sides are intended to reflect that 'City brings electrifying football to the pitch whatever the weather'.

A message in the kit reads: "Even when it rains, we shine." The kit will be worn as an alternative to the black kit for away matches that was debuted in Palermo, and will complement the new home kit that features a sash on the front for the first time in the club's history.

Marco Mueller, PUMA’s Senior Director of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel, said: “The people of Manchester have a deep-rooted love for football, as both a sense of pride and community belonging. This kit brings those two traits together, to create a truly unique kit that does things a little different.

"We decided to design a kit that not only embraces the rainy Manchester weather but also the fact the fans stick by the team ‘Rain or Shine’.”

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 more.

As part of the release of the new kit, the first 100 people to buy a kids' third kit at the City Store will get a free Puma Premier League mini-football, while mascots Moonbeam and Moonchester will be there between 11am and 3pm with free face-painting and every third kit purchased all day will come with a free poster.

The latest design is part of the ongoing collaboration between Puma and City, which was strengthened last month with an extension that could make the partnership worth £1bn. Puma will continue to make City kits for at least 10 more years, with the deal valued at £100m a season - thought to be the highest in Premier League history.

Ferran Soriano, chief executive officer of City Football Group, said: “We joined forces with PUMA with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons.

“PUMA have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we've enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally. Today’s renewal and extension solidifies our relationship and projects it to an even brighter future.”
