Manchester City host Brentford this evening in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals as they look to join Chelsea in the semi-finals.

The Blues head into the game on a fine run of form having beaten Crystal Palace 3-0 on Sunday to five games in all competitions. However, Pep Guardiola does have a few headaches to contend with as he chooses his team for tonight.

Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait-Nouri are unavailable for the foreseeable as they prepare to compete at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). They join Jeremy Doku and Mateo Kovacic as confirmed absentees as the duo look to overcome a muscular and ankle injury respectively.

Rodri is also expected to be out again as he recovers from a hamstring injury. John Stones is the most likely to return to the side this evening as his thigh injury is not thought to be serious.

With plenty of absentees, Guardiola has confirmed the squad will be rotated. James Trafford will start in goal tonight and an opportunity could arise for youngster Divine Mukasa and other academy stars.
