City head into the weekend buoyed by a decent run of results since the international break with wins in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup.
Pep Guardiola's side also picked up a point at Arsenal last weekend and there are signs the Blues are beginning to find a bit of form.
They will be heavy favourites to beat a Burnley side who have a dismal record at the Etihad and have won just one of their opening five league games.
City will have Erling Haaland fit again after a back issue while Mateo Kovacic could come into the squad for the first time this season having resumed training. But Omar Marmoush, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Abdukodir Khusanov remain sidelined.
