Manchester City are plotting a £75m raid on Nottingham Forest for rising star and England midfielder Elliot Anderson, with Pep Guardiola believed to be a huge admirer of the player
Manchester City are planning a £75m swoop for Nottingham Forest's rising star Elliot Anderson.
However, City manager Pep Guardiola is anticipated to face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea for the player's signature. Guardiola has been closely monitoring Anderson's progress and has become a significant admirer of the England international.
The Mirror report Anderson has emerged as one of Guardiola's primary transfer targets, should he decide to bolster his midfield next summer. Nico Gonzalez has found it challenging to make his mark at the Etihad, while questions linger over Rodri's long-term future at the club.

Anderson won't be lacking in suitors next summer, with Chelsea also expressing interest in bringing him to Stamford Bridge.
Anderson moved to Forest in a £35m deal from Newcastle in 2024 and has since established himself as one of the Premier League's brightest talents.
His development was acknowledged by Thomas Tuchel, who gave him his first England call-up in August.
Since then, the 22-year-old has earned three caps and secured a place in Tuchel's team. He is expected to be named in Tuchel's final squad for the World Cup in North America next summer.
And if he returns from the finals having proven himself on the world's biggest stage, his value is predicted to skyrocket.
If City opt to pursue Anderson, the club's management would aim to strike a deal with Forest prior to the tournament's commencement.
Meanwhile, Anderson would prefer not to enter the tournament amidst uncertainty about his future.
