The Premier League have confirmed the latest round of TV selections for the start of May and Man Utd and Manchester City have both had their game moved.

Manchester United's Old Trafford showdown with Liverpool on the first weekend of May has been moved for live TV coverage, with the game likely to be crucial in the race for Champions League football.

United currently sit third, with Liverpool two places behind them, and the battle to secure entry to Europe's premier club competition could go down to the wire, with Aston Villa and Chelsea also involved.

It is Michael Carrick's side who are currently in pole position and they face Liverpool in matchweek 35, with the fixture starting a run of three consecutive games against their Champions League rivals for Arne Slot's side.

With so much riding on it, it was inevitable it would be moved for live TV coverage and with UEFA confirming the dates of a potential Champions League semi-final earlier on Friday, which could yet involve Liverpool, the kick-off time has now been confirmed.

The match has been moved to Sunday, May 3, with the unusual kick-off time of 3.30pm, and it will be shown live on Sky Sports, with United looking to complete the league double over Liverpool.

It is a double header of Manchester vs Merseyside that weekend, and City's potentially crucial trip to Everton's new Hill Dickinson Stadium has also been moved for TV coverage. That will be screened on Sky Sports at 8pm on Monday, May 4.

Pep Guardiola's side will be aiming to heap the pressure on Arsenal in the final weeks of the season. The Gunners face Fulham at the Emirates that weekend and that match will now kick-off at 5.30pm on Saturday, May 2.
