This week, talkSPORT reported that Kobbie Mainoo could be open to leaving Manchester United in the final days of the transfer window if the right offer arrives. So, where does PSG come into the picture? The Parisians are told to keep a close eye on the situation.
On the latest Ensemble PSG Podcast, Robin Bairner, chief editor at Football Transfers, stated one name that Parisians might not be able to get this summer, but should be all over on when the January window approaches.
“I think maybe one to look at might be Kobbie Mainoo at Manchester United,” Bairner said. “I think he’d be an interesting one to look at, just off the top of my head, because he’s clearly an immensely talented player, but he doesn’t really fit into Ruben Amorim’s system.
“Amorim wants players who are all about intensity, whereas there’s a feeling that Mainoo is lacking a little bit of mobility. I think he could potentially fit into a team like PSG where you’ve got that high tariff on technical ability and being able to play in possession.”
Could Kobbie Mainoo be leaving Manchester United?

The Athletic reports that Mainoo has told Manchester United he wants to go out on loan before the transfer window closes to get regular first-team minutes.
In a meeting with the club on Thursday, the 20-year-old midfielder emphasized that he has no intention of ending his relationship with his boyhood club, but feels his current situation doesn’t offer the chance to advance his career.
Atletico Madrid eye Kobbie Mainoo

Whether or not Mainoo becomes a realistic target for PSG remains to be seen. However, there is one prominent team keen on the youngster as the Daily Mail’s Mike Keegan reports that Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are monitoring the situation of Mainoo.
