We asked for your views following Premiership teams' weekend's Scottish Cup ties, here are a selection of your responses.
Aberdeen & Celtic make heavy weather of it
Aberdeen defeated second-tier Raith Rovers 1-0 on Sunday before Celtic defeated junior side Auchinleck Talbot.
Supporters of Aberdeen were unenthused...
Fred: Good to grind out a win but the match clearly demonstrated our current level. We really need a forward who can actually score as our current crop seem not up to the task. The game was too close for comfort but we did progress.
Niall: It was a win but it wasn't pretty. Very nervy and reckless at the back and so poor in the opposition box. There was such a lack of zip on attack and we're just not clinical enough when it matters. A new manager needed soon to give some direction and leadership to this flailing squad.
Justin: Good to get through but Aberdeen need to get the ball forward and into the box so much faster, this slow sideways or backwards play is horrendous, predictable and just not working. We didn't look like we were in a league above.
Eric: This was a real struggle. Raith put pressure on every player with the ball and forced us into numerous mistakes. Our transition was slow and laborious, giving time for Raith to reorganise and restrict our chances. We really need to up the pace and work much, much harder.
And Celtic fans had similar misgivings about their side...
Peter: Each week we sink to a new low. It is only getting worse. It's going to be virtually impossible to get a player of any real quality to join this rabble. It's only going to get worse I am afraid. So much change is needed on and off the field. Thankfully we have had a long run of success. Such times seem lightyears away.
John: Poor game again, we never looked like losing a goal but just don't have a cutting edge. James Forrest and Luke McCowan were the main threats. It looked like a Brendan Rodgers performance - all the possession but nothing to show for it.
David: Another win, through to the last 16. What more can be asked from Martin O'Neill with the current squad? Get behind him and the players, stop whinging and moaning, it's getting boring. Avoid defeat Sunday, get three new faces in and it's back on again.
Andy: Dire is the only word for it. O'Neill must wonder how the side he built 20 years ago with the likes of John Hartson, Chris Sutton and Henrik Larsson could turn into what he has inherited now. Those guys, as old as they are, would walk into this current team. Get the dross cleared out and bring in some quality.

Bad day for Edinburgh clubs as Falkirk progress
Falkirk fans were celebrating after defeating Premiership leaders Hearts on penalties on Saturday night...
Nathan: My word, what a night, what a result, what an unbelievable team this is. We went into this with what was definitely the worst possible draw but took the game to Hearts and fought them every step of the way. Incredibly, we got our name in the hat. Every player once again deserves the highest praise from me and seriously what else does John McGlynn have to do to get his statue?
Tommy: What can you say about Falkirk manager McGlynn, the guy's a genius. Treble substitution at half-time, then gets Brian Graham on in extra time for penalties. Manager of the month. Would agree with Ben Parkinson, we could go all the way.
David: Yet another step in the McGlynn journey this season. Back in September we were turned over by the Jambos at Tynecastle, however the vast improvement was there for all to witness. McGlynn started with a 4-4-2 diamond in the first period to counter the thrust from Hearts. A change back to wingers in the second half enabled us to get behind the Hearts back line and it worked a treat. The game was a great advert for Scottish football and both sides had chances in extra time. Great performance by Parkinson to open his Falkirk account with a good finish and then hold his composure to slot home the winning penalty. Onwards and upwards Bairns fans. Fasten up your seatbelts for the second half of the season.
It was a rare disappointment so far this season for Hearts supporters...
Peter: Had a doubt about this game beforehand as Falkirk were better than Celtic midweek and we had Cammy Devlin out injured. Falkirk merited the win and we can at least remain focused on the league. We are all realising now that while our squad is large it lacks sufficient numbers of high quality players in midfield.
Norrie: Horrible night at Tynecastle, we were nowhere near progressing. Something wasn't right, it was almost like the team got spooked by the size of away support.
Dave: Let's get a dose of realism into this season so far. Hearts are top of the league because the Old Firm have been so shockingly bad, so far. Hearts have had two real "must win" games, so far. Both have been lost to a team newly promoted and a team now struggling. Hearts' next "must win" game is their next, against a resurgent, so far, Celtic. Hearts may have come "so far" since last season but it's looking like they will not "arrive" this season.
Walter: Simply not good enough. Hearts need to be challenging for cups, it's been too long now. Fair play to Falkirk but with the resources Hearts have that's an embarrassment.
Watch: Own goal seals late Dunfermline win over Hibs
And Hearts weren't the only Edinburgh club to sustain an early exit from the competition with Hibernian having succumbed 1-0 at Championship side Dunfermline Athletic earlier on Saturday...
Scott: Poor game, poor performance. For me David Gray has to go. Legend or not, this team is far too flaky, great one week and performances like this the next.
Colin: A collective failure, we didn't treat this like a cup tie. We had chances but didn't take them and didn't look in control of the game. The players knew what was at stake but didn't turn up.
Alan: Dunfermline were by far the hungriest team, worked harder, ran harder and tried harder. The same woeful stuff from a Gray team, no passion or desire and absolutely no running off the ball. Hibs must be the most predictable team to play against in Scotland. It would have been the dream for Gray to succeed at Hibs, but I think the writing is on the wall and his tenure won't go beyond this season.
Kenny: Another poor performance. I can't help thinking that Gray has taken the team as far as he can. Performances are up and down and it's simply not good enough. He took off the only player to look like scoring today when Kieron Bowie should have been left through the middle with Martin Boyle wide. Sad to say this but we need a change.
Rangers, Motherwell & Dundee United safely through
Rangers fans enjoyed a comfortable 5-0 Friday night win over Annan Athletic...
Graeme: Some positives with Bojan Miovski getting his first career hat-trick, Thelo Aasgaard scoring a world class free-kick and Kieran Dowell playing some decent stuff. But, considering the opponents, certain players have proved they simply are not good enough for this club. Be it lack of ability, fight or passion to wear the shirt, some have finally proved to me they need to be shown the door. Max Aarons, Nasser Djiga and Danilo are three examples that needed to show something/anything against lower-level opposition to convince the fans but continued with their poor performances. Dead weight needs to be shifted now.
Andrew: Rangers rotated, Rangers dominated. They got everything they could have wanted from the game - Miovski building confidence with his first senior hat-trick, Aasgaard with a world class free-kick, great contributions from youngsters Zebedee Lawson, Findlay Curtis and Clinton Nsiala, and a last chance to snuff out who is maybe not good enough to wear the shirt. Three new signings announced to top it all off, one of which being Skov Olsen. Literally the perfect result for the Bears last night.
Peter: Big surprise about how many were dropped. Some, for obvious reasons, didn't really want to be there. Keeping the winning mentality going is good, Miovski getting hat-trick boosts his mindset. I've been admiring Rohl and his style of play but I think he needs to give Curtis a bit more game time like Connor Barron. Young, keen, bags of energy and can develop into something special.

Motherwell were made to wait for their 1-0 win over Ross County on Saturday...
Ian: Not the best of watches but a win's a win. Who needs a new striker when Tawanda Maswanhise's back and on target for his third game in a row?
Colin: Good to get through to the next round in the cup, however we toiled to score against a mediocre team. A frustrating watch which highlighted again our need to get quality strikers. Apostolos Stamatelopoulos got a start but never looked anywhere near scoring.
Fraser: We were in control for large parts of the match. Ross County had some chances - but well played Matty Connelly. The cutting edge changed considerably when Lukas Fadinger, Elijah Just and Emmanuel Longelo came on. Into the hat for the next round – Jens Berthel Askou's army keeps marching on.
Stephen: Motherwell won this game at a canter. They rotated the squad to give some players game time but still managed to control it throughout. A real testament to the coaching applied and squad assembled by Askou.
And Dundee United were also made to work for their 2-0 victory over Ayr United...
Kenny: We got the win, defence looked much better with Sam Cleall-Harding and Ross Graham together but Jim Goodwin just doesn't seem to know his best starting 11, especially in midfield with too many wide players. Another experienced centre forward would be a great addition.
Dave: The first half wasn't a great watch but we were totally dominant in the second. Ayr were a decent team on the day so a clean sheet and two good goals from open play will do me.
Rayaan: It was a scrappy game but we got the result we needed and two players off the mark for United.
Eddie: Glad to get through but that first half was a hard watch yet again. Why oh why can't this team be at it from the first whistle? Three at the back against lower league opposition? It once again begs questions of Goodwin doesn't it? Professional players that can't find a team-mate with a pass and can't hold on to possession, quite simply we need to be better.
Dundee & St Mirren prevail in top-flight ties
Dundee came from behind to defeat Premiership rivals Kilmarnock 2-1 at Rugby Park...
Alex: Another outstanding performance, the score flattered Kilmarnock. I must admit I thought Steven Pressley was not the man but after a consistent run of great performances and efforts we need to back Pressley and get right behind him. He did say performances will come over time and he has proved that has happened.
Brian: Totally controlled the game, should have been well ahead before getting the equaliser and winner. Team played really well, maybe, just maybe we are on the up.
George: This must be the first time Dundee have got past the fourth round for some considerable time. Good team effort, hope we get an easier home draw in the next round. Then maybe we can get to the final.
Gary: It might've been an error that decided the game but Dundee were definitely good for it. Finally little breaks are going our way and the good play that Pressley has grown into the team makes these things happen. Hoping for a good draw and a positive remainder of the transfer window.

St Mirren got the better of Livingston on penalties, with the two sides set to meet again in the Premiership on Tuesday..
Michael: What a shambles. Stephen Robinson says the team let him down so what does he do? Chooses almost the same team less one. What do Evan Mooney and Malik Dijksteel have to do to start a game? Move! Mikael Mandron needs to be dropped. I said before the first sign of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. When will he learn? Hope sooner rather than later, but I will not hold my breath. Time to clear out the deadwood and give others a chance.
Alistair: I would rather have a win against Livingston in the league to come, rather than a win in the Scottish Cup to be honest. The way St Mirren are playing at the moment, we should be concentrating and focusing energy on staying up and not getting relegated. If you go down it is very difficult to return to the Premiership.
Eddie: In the hat for next round, all that matters given our injuries.
Ian: We can't expect a team like St Mirren to have the ability to reach the top six season after season. It's nobody's fault. It's a very tight league with positions five and six always up for grabs between seven teams. Let's just enjoy what we have or risk losing a good manager.
Watch: St Mirren's winning penalty against Livingston
It was a sore one for Livi supporters...
David: I don't understand why, when we have struggled to score goals all season, we bring on members of the squad who have been struggling versus players we have brought in (Alex Tamm) with incredible scoring statistics. Scott Arfield scored. Clearly identifying why new inputs are needed, it should wake up the rest of the squad.
Craig: Same old script. Decent performance no end result. The problem is keeping a clean sheet. Only one all season back in September. We are looking likely to score in games but keeping them out is the problem. A clean sheet on Tuesday will help as it guarantees a point. However, no easy fix. Mahamadou Susoho looked good and has kicked on since his tantrum when substituted. Good to see Robbie Muirhead back too.
Owen: David Martindale is now way out of his depth at Livingston. That's 21 games in a row that we have failed to win. I'm not buying into the whole "the club is in a good place" nonsense being peddled by Martindale. Something needs to change. Teti Yengi should never be anywhere near the team, absolute waste of a jersey for almost two years, but Martindale seems to keep him in or around the squad and his penalty was the nail in the coffin for him for me.
Allan: I'm not happy at a loss but I'll take a cup exit if it means we've learned enough about St Mirren to ensure that we get the three points in the league match on Tuesday.
It was a similarly bleak outlook for Kilmarnock fans...
Sandy: Well, we shot ourselves in the foot. Started well but then things got worse. Second half was really poor and we could have lost by more. Neil McCann and Billy Dodds have a lot of work to do. Defence is poor, strikers misfiring and we need a creative midfielder. It's going to be a long hard season.
Dan: No confidence in the team at all, we've got into that free fall situation where losing is expected! Board need to open the purse and back the new manager. Some players need to be moved on!
Robert: I thought Killie were atrocious. Poor defensively and offered little in attack. Had it not been for the posts, crossbar and one kicked off the line it would have been a heavy defeat. More than three months since they won. That's relegation form.
Gary: Well, we could say sack the manager when it's the defence we want to sack. Whoever agreed to sign some of these players should also be sacked. Most will struggle next season in the Championship. Maybe the sooner relegation is confirmed the better.
