Manchester City announce Trafford Centre store opening date with Blues legends in attendance

Football legends will be in attendance for the grand opening of the first Manchester City store in the Trafford Centre - and there will be exclusive giveaways too

Manchester City have confirmed the opening date and details of its brand new superstore opening at the Trafford Centre. Blues bosses have been busy working to create the new store at a unit on Peel Avenue next to John Lewis, representing their first retail outlet at the giant shopping mall.

Now, they have confirmed that the store will be ready to open its doors to customers at the Trafford Centre from Friday, November 21 at 10am. The store will also be officially opened by some major Blues legends - while the first fans through the doors could be in with a chance of some exclusive giveaways too.

The opening comes amid a period of sustained growth at the Trafford Centre, with a number of new stores opening in recent weeks, including fitness brand Trailberg the latest opening at the weekend.

A statement from the football club said today: "Manchester City is delighted to announce the opening of a brand-new City Store at the Trafford Centre, in collaboration with retail partner Stichd. Located on the ground floor of Peel Avenue, the new store will officially open its doors for the first time on Friday 21st November at 10am."

It added that the store will offer fans a "bespoke City shopping experience" and will include this season’s PUMA kits, the recently released Christmas collection – with a £5 donation to City in the Community (CITC) with specific products - shirt printing and more.

To celebrate the opening, Club legends Mike Summerbee and Paul Dickov will be joined by mascots Moonbeam and Moonchester will be at the store from 10am to 11am on Friday, to help open the store and greet the first fans who visit.

The first 50 people down to store will also receive a free Gianluigi Donnarumma signed poster, a free PUMA football, plus the opportunity to win more prizes in store.

The Trafford Centre store joins a successful portfolio of permanent Manchester City Stores across the world, which include the Etihad Stadium, the Manchester Arndale Centre, Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi and most recently a Dubai Mall store, as well as temporary store in New York City, Seoul and Shenzen, in recent years.
