Manchester City are in the title hunt and it looks like the fans believe they are on the way to winning the Premier League again after they swept away Chelsea. The Stamford Bridge away support could not help but mock rivals Arsenal as one fan raised a water bottle with Gunners branding and pretended to drink it.

The message was clear: they expect Arsenal to bottle their lead. After Mikel Arteta's side lost to Bournemouth on Saturday, that is the thought City will want Arsenal's stars to linger on with six games remaining.

The moment has already racked up more than 700,000 views on X as Arsenal's title credentials are questioned. Despite still being behind, City have reminded people of theirs.

Pep Guardiola's team had a message of their own as they eased past Chelsea 3-0 and reduced the gap to six points. City host Arsenal next week, and a win there, in addition to taking advantage of their game in hand, will likely see the club usurp Arsenal's lead.

Nico O'Reilly opened the scoring before efforts from Marc Guehi and Jeremy Doku sent City's fans into jubilation on Sunday. Some Arsenal taunts were never likely to be far away.

While City's attention is firmly on a title charge, Arteta faced questions over whether the momentum was shifting in the division. "We know what is at stake, and the fact that as a club we haven't done it for so long is a reason for that, it talks about the difficulty," he said after the Bournemouth defeat.

"But I just want to focus on the things that we can control, dominate and we have done. It's not like we have to do a lot of new things that we haven't done, no, let's keep doing a lot of it.

"Or almost all the things that we've done for nine months, because that's what has taken us all the way there, and on Wednesday, I saw a lot of them, and today, we've gone back.

"So we need to learn, we need to be very critical to ourselves, and then pick ourselves up, because on Wednesday we have a big one coming up."

Former Manchester City defender and Arsenal fan, Micah Richards believes City's fans have every reason to believe. "It's on," he said on Sky Sports.

"They have got the win. Now next week is humungous. I cannot wait!

"The fans believe and they have not stopped believing, the away fans are brilliant. I'm not saying they are going to go and win it but they have given themselves a chance and that's all they can do."
