Erling Haaland missed the win at Leeds United through injury and Manchester City must weigh up recalling him for the visit of Nottingham Forest
Manchester City must weigh up whether to gamble on Erling Haaland for the Premier League visit of Nottingham Forest.
The striker missed the weekend win at Leeds United with a knock and Pep Guardiola said on Tuesday that a final decision would be made after City trained yesterday. The Blues boss did say the Norwegian was feeling much better and, with City trying to keep pace with Arsenal at the top of the table, Haaland could return to the line-up.
If he does, Omar Marmoush seems the most likely to make way with the Egypt international quiet at Elland Road. Rayan Cherki impressed while Antoine Semenyo was the matchwinner and both can start again with Phil Foden again missing out.

The other big team news question for City is around Nico O'Reilly, who was forced off in the second half against Leeds. The youngster's injury is not serious but it seems set to rule him out of the visit of Forest. Guardiola has options to turn to in midfield and Tijjani Reijnders could be given the nod ahead of Nico Gonzalez given City are at home and expected to dominate the ball.

Rodri and Bernardo Silva are both vital cogs for the Blues and are set to continue in the middle. The backline is likely to remain unchanged with Mathues Nunes and Rayan Ait-Nouri at full back. Ruben Dias and Marc Guehi have formed a strong partnership in the middle of defence while Gianluigi Donnarumma is an automatic pick in goal.
City predicted XI vs Nottingham Forest: Donnarumma, Nunes, Dias, Guehi, Ait-Nouri; Rodri, Reijnders, Bernardo, Cherki; Semenyo, Haaland
