Manchester United is gearing up for a busy transfer deadline day, with three departures and one arrival expected before the window closes.
The Red Devils are set to confirm the exits of Antony, Rasmus Hojlund, and Jadon Sancho, while goalkeeper Senne Lammens is currently at the Premier League club's training complex finalizing his switch from Royal Antwerp.
Antony is on his way to Real Betis in a permanent deal worth £21.65 million ($29.3 million). The Brazilian winger was signed by United three years ago from Ajax for a fee that eventually rose to £86.3 million ($116.9 million). Hojlund is set to join Napoli on a season-long loan, with the Serie A champion having an obligation to buy the Denmark international next year.
Meanwhile, Sancho is nearing a move to Aston Villa on a season-long loan, marking his third loan spell during his time at United.
Sancho, 25, has a contract with United until 2026 but is expected to be released.
Villa has agreed to cover 80 percent of Sancho's salary, and achievable bonuses have been incorporated into the deal.
United may be left with left back Tyrell Malacia, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
The Saudi Arabian and Turkish transfer windows remain open for longer, but interest from any clubs in those leagues has yet to materialize.
Lammens, 23, arrived in Manchester today. Club sources have not confirmed whether the Belgian will take over as United's first-choice goalkeeper.
Altay Bayindir has started the season as United's No. 1 but has failed to impress. Andre Onana is still at Old Trafford, but he's also faced his fair share of criticism since joining the club two years ago.
The inability to offload Casemiro has effectively hindered United's plans to bring in a high-profile midfielder.
The club was priced out of a move for Carlos Baleba by Brighton, but is expected to revisit its interest next year.
United could find itself with a surplus of goalkeepers compared to central midfielders by the time the transfer window shuts.
Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, and Manuel Ugarte are the three specialist options at Ruben Amorim's disposal, although it is anticipated that captain Bruno Fernandes will occupy that position for most of the season.
