Manor Solomon suffers setback in dream Leeds United transfer as he seeks Tottenham exit

2 hours ago 35

Manor Solomon’s hopes of sealing a dream return from Tottenham to Leeds United have been dealt a significant setback, with fresh reports suggesting the Yorkshire club may be turning their attention elsewhere.

Manor Solomon returned to Tottenham Hotspur this summer after his loan spell at Leeds United, but his involvement has been minimal as he continues to battle back from injury.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank recently provided an update on Solomon’s progress, making clear that the wide man still has a role in the squad.

Speaking on the winger’s issue, Frank explained: “Every player that is here is part of the plans. Manor is just back from his injury, in terms of being on the pitch he had a part training with the team yesterday, so hopefully he can progress after that.”

Tottenham winger Manor Solomon faces Leeds United transfer blow

Yet there is doubt regarding the Israel international’s future, and The Standard is now reporting that Solomon has been open to a switch back to Elland Road this summer, but that prospect has been hit by a major blow.

Leeds United are understood to be exploring the possibility of signing AC Milan forward Noah Okafor, which would put any return for Solomon in serious doubt.

During his loan spell last season, Solomon played a key role in Leeds’ Championship-winning campaign, scoring ten goals, including a decisive strike against Plymouth Argyle that helped seal the title.

His performances endeared him to the Leeds faithful, but with Okafor now emerging as a top target, a Premier League reunion for the Israel international appears unlikely.

Fabrizio Romano reveals interest in Solomon away from Spurs

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manor Solomon continues to attract interest from clubs across Europe, with sides in both La Liga and the Premier League monitoring his situation closely.

According to Romano, the next few weeks could be decisive in determining the 26-year-old’s future.

It is also understood that Tottenham had already decided on their pre-season tour that Solomon would once again be allowed to leave, either on loan or in a permanent deal.

However, with Leeds shifting their focus, the options for the winger may now take a different direction. There remains the possibility of a move to Leeds, although that route is now far from certain.

There is also a scenario where Solomon could attempt to work his way back into contention at Tottenham, as suggested by earlier reports this summer.

Yet with Tottenham showing serious interest in wide options such as Savinho and Eberechi Eze, Solomon’s chances of breaking back into the starting picture may prove difficult.
