Max Dowman scored Arsenal's second goal against Everton to secure a crucial three points and become the Premier League's youngest goalscorer
Arsenal youngster Max Dowman has taken to social media to give his reaction to scoring his first Premier League goal, and he has been flooded with messages of support.
The 16-year-old secured a crucial three points for Arsenal in their aim of lifting the Premier League title at the end of the season. Dowman ran almost the entire length of the pitch to make it 2-0 against Everton and, in turn, became the youngest ever Premier League goalscorer.
The goal came after Viktor Gyokeres had given Arsenal the lead in the 89th minute. The win, along with Man City’s 1-1 draw against West Ham later in the day, saw the Gunners extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to nine points.

In the hours after the game, Dowman shared pictures of the celebrations following his goal on his Instagram page, along with a caption reading: “A night I’ll never forget.”
In the comments was former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who wrote: “Super max” with a red heart emoji.
Former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand wrote: “Levels” along with a graph emoji. Another former England man in John Terry also responded with a clapping and football emoji.
Former Arsenal man Reiss Nelson replied with a red heart emoji. The fellow academy graduate had a similar moment three years ago, when he scored a late winner against Bournemouth.
Also in the comments are Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who added a hand and fire emoji. Young goalkeeper Tommy Setford commented with three red heart emojis.
Dowman came on as a substitute in the 75th minute of the game, replacing Martin Zubimendi.
Speaking about the decision to turn to a teenager in such a crucial moment, Arteta said: “Probably in my head I had a gut feeling.
“Yesterday he was training in the last few days and I had a gut feeling that it was a moment for him. Probably because he doesn't seem to be faced by the occasion or the moment or the context or the opponent.
“He just plays so naturally. He makes decisions to make things happen and what he delivered was incredible.”
