Joleon Lescott made his festival debut at Reading Festival on Sunday and was joined by a very familiar face in ex-Manchester City colleague Micah Richards, whose appearance featured a bottle of Jagermeister

Joleon Lescott has disclosed that Micah Richards was provided with a private area for his Reading Festival DJ performance, but the Sky Sports pundit ended up amongst the general crowd, clutching a bottle of Jagermeister.
After retiring from football in 2017, Lescott, who featured nearly 300 times in the Premier League for clubs including Everton, Manchester City and Aston Villa, has shifted his focus towards electronic music. He announced in 2024 his intention to pursue DJing professionally and made his festival debut with a house music set on Sunday.
Lescott secured a slot at Reading Festival, which draws roughly 90,000 attendees across the weekend. The 43-year-old took to the stage at 6pm on Sunday at the Jagermeister Stage and was accompanied by a distinguished guest who abandoned his exclusive area to immerse himself in the bustling audience.
"He wasn't meant to be there [in the crowd]. He was meant to be there at the Festival, he was coming with me. I got him a section," Lescott explained, speaking on In The Mixer, brought to you by Sky Bet.
"I can't go anywhere with Meeks [Richards] anymore, man, I have to be very selective in where we go because he's probably the most recognisable human in... He's that guy.
"So I said, 'This is the section, you won't be bothered, you can enjoy yourself.' I didn't tell no one he was coming. I just got the accreditation."

"Didn't tell any of the people. Just made sure he could have a good time, have a day off and then... I get on the decks and he's in the crowd!
"I had him a section there, he doesn't want to be there, he wants to be the mixer," Lescott exclaimed, referencing Richards' presence amongst fans in the crowd.
Guest Carlton Cole chimed in: "What's he doing with a bottle of Jager as well!" Lescott replied: "That's what the tent was for. It was Jager. Jagermeister tent. His energy is infectious, man."
Lescott continued when asked about the set: "Unreal feeling. I've DJed, but not at that level. That was insane. Insane, I can't even explain. I got in the car on the way home, I was just so drained. Fell asleep. Fell asleep on the phone!"
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham striker Cole also shared his affinity for music, and opened up about how he and some of his former team-mates attend festivals undercover, reports the Mirror.
"You've got to understand, footballers think we were musicians back in the day, and musicians wanted to be footballers, so that's why the two worlds collide," added Cole.
"We go to festivals. I went to Glastonbury, I went to a few places, right? Me, Bridgie [Wayne Bridge], and Joe Cole, basically we go, we do all this other stuff, right, around town." Lescott interjected: "Disguised!" with Cole responding: "We're just doing side quests at the moment."
