Alexander Isak is set to be out for months after suffering a fractured fibula in a challenge with Micky van de Ven during Liverpool's 2-1 win at Tottenham on Saturday

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has disclosed that Alexander Isak and Micky van de Ven have "sorted it out" following the challenge that left the Liverpool forward facing months on the sidelines with a fractured left leg.
However, Frank has strongly disputed Reds boss Arne Slot's assertion that the tackle was "reckless". Isak went under the knife on Monday to address an ankle injury, including a fractured fibula.
It came after scans confirmed the full extent of the damage suffered when he was caught heavily by Tottenham Hotspur defender Van de Ven whilst netting the opening goal in the Reds' 2-1 away Premier League victory on Saturday.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot voiced his dissatisfaction with Van de Ven's challenge when confirming on Tuesday morning the duration of Isak's absence.
However, speaking later that day, Tottenham manager Frank has rejected such claims and insisted any matter between the two players has now been resolved, with Van de Ven reaching out to the striker to apologize.
"I am obviously disagreeing (with Slot) in many ways," he said. "We are talking about a defender that will do everything he can to avoid the goal.

"It is a transition, there is a ball down the side and he is doing everything he can to block the shot so he is sliding. Unfortunately Isak plants his foot so it makes it look worse than it is, but that is a natural action for a defender.
"Put it this way, if my defender does not do that, they are not true defenders!
"Reckless challenge? I don't think you see anything like that from Micky. He is very fair and I know the two players have sorted it out, so that's a good sign."
Despite causing serious injury in his unsuccessful attempt to prevent Isak from scoring, Van de Ven escaped punishment in a match that saw both Xavi Simons and Cristian Romero receive red cards for Tottenham.
