Mikel Arteta has six more Arsenal transfers for Andrea Berta to complete in summer masterplan

3 hours ago 11

Arsenal warmed up for the new Premier League season in the perfect way possible by beating Athletic Club 3-0 on Saturday. Bouncing back from defeats against Tottenham and Villarreal, Mikel Arteta's side should head to Old Trafford in confident mood next weekend whey they take on Manchester United in their season opener.

The Gunners have been extremely active across the summer to ensure they have a squad to once again challenge for major honours. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres have so far signed on the dotted line and that may not even be the end of the club's transfer business.

So what other transfer deals - both incomings and outgoings - do Andrea Berta and Arsenal have to finalise before the summer window draws to a conclusion on Monday, September 1? football.london takes a look below.

New left-winger

Arsenal have already added to their wide options this summer with Madueke making the move across the capital from Chelsea. The England international is a right-winger by trade but he can also play from the left flank if required.

It is on the left where Arsenal really do need to upgrade their options if they want to form a dream front three that can spearhead their Premier League and Champions League title ambitions. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are both good options for the Gunners in the position but all would agree that the club certainly can upgrade there if they want to hit the next level.

Rodrygo of Real Madrid and Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace have been linked with transfers to Arsenal so far this summer.

Fabio Vieira

Fabio Vieira's transfer to Arsenal has just not worked out at all. The Portuguese player was allowed to return to former club Porto on loan last season and he finished the year with five goals and six assists in 42 games.

The 25-year-old just doesn't have a future at the Emirates Stadium and it's best that both parties go their separate ways. German club Stuttgart are keen on signing the attacking midfielder on a permanent deal.

Reiss Nelson

Reiss Nelson was another player to spend the 2024/25 campaign away from the club on loan. The academy graduate made the short move to Fulham but his season was unfortunately limited to only 13 appearances due to injury.

Nelson needs a permanent move for the sake of his career and it may well come between now and the end of the summer window. The player has been linked with another switch to Fulham.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Oleksandr Zinchenko's first-team football at the Emirates Stadium looks set to be restricted once again due to the emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly. Riccardo Calafiori also operates at left-back and Jurrien Timber can play there if required.

Limited to 23 appearances in all competitions last season, the Ukrainian really needs to get back to featuring week in, week out.

Karl Hein

Arsenal now have Kepa pushing David Raya for the No.1 spot after the Spaniard completed his move to the club from Chelsea. That limits Karl Hein's chances of playing even further and a transfer away from the club could be finalised as a result.

Albert Sambi Lokonga

Albert Sambi Lokonga has yet to play a single minute for Arsenal in pre-season despite taking his place in the matchday squad in all five friendlies. That just highlights that he does not have a future at the club and he needs a permanent transfer to get his career back on track.

Arsenal need to find a solution ASAP as the Belgian is out of contract at the club come next summer.
