Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was frustrated at his side's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool, where Dominik Szoboszlai netted a stunning free-kick to decide a level game.
Liverpool and Arsenal both looked willing to take a point in the first half, but then a moment of quality settled it in the second. Szoboszlai, who was exceptional at right-back, fired a shot into the top corner and beyond David Raya.
"I am very disappointed with the result," Arteta told Sky Sports. "I'm very proud of my players. Both [sets of] players had to dig in to a level where there was nothing between the two.
"It was going to be decided by an individual error or a moment of magic. You cannot dominate here for 90 minutes; it is impossible.
"At the end of the game, I said we have to find a way to win these big matches. You have to put the ball in the back of the net when you have it.
"We were much better than last year, much better. We have to put the ball in the back of the net if you want to win the game.
"We lost Martin [Odegaard], we lost Kai [Havertz] and then we lost Bukayo [Saka]. In the warm-up, we lost William Saliba."
Arsenal suffered an early blow in the game with star center-back Saliba limping off with an injury. But in better news, new signing Eberechi Eze, brought in from Crystal Palace this week, looked sharp when he entered the field.
"He's been with us for four or five days, that is all," Arteta said. "We fully believe in the players that played.
"You have to take a lot of positives from the game. I haven't seen Liverpool at home suffering like they did against us."

Arsenal is now three points behind Liverpool in the Premier League standings. Manchester City, meanwhile, is six behind having lost 2-1 away at Brighton in the earlier game.
"We talk about Liverpool's problems and issues that they have had in the last few games regarding giving up goals and chances, but you still have to beat them," Roy Keane said.
"This team did it last year and the sign of a brilliant team is winning matches when you are not at your very best, that is what champions do. It is early in the season and they will improve no doubt."
