Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Gabriel Magalhaes after the Arsenal defender was forced off with an injury in the Champions League clash against Olympiacos.
Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka ensured a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. It means the Gunners have now won both of their Champions League matches played this season.
Arteta was dealt a worry, though, in the second half when Gabriel was forced to come off after David Raya landed awkwardly on the 27-year-old centre-back. Cristhian Mosquera came on in the Brazilian's place.
Speaking after the match, Arteta confirmed Gabriel was substituted as a precaution. The Spaniard told the media: "He felt something. He could carry on but we decided not to take any risks."
On the win, Arteta added: "Very happy, winning in the Champions League is always complicated. 11 in 14 for the boys, clean sheets, which is unbelievable."
