Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, both leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, received a warm ovation from the Anfield faithful following Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Fulham.

It was the first home appearance for both players since announcing the move. Salah scored the Reds' second, a first-time finish with his left foot near the end of the box. Robertson made a rare start, showing his trademark energy in a dynamic defensive performance.

Both players completed a lap of honor after fulltime, applauding the crowd along the way. Fans serenaded Salah with his signature song, as chants of "Mo Salah, Mo Salah, Mo Salah, running down the wing" echoed throughout Anfield.

Salah looked to be particularly emotional.

"He is going to miss those moments. He is soaking up every single second," former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp said of the Reds winger.

"It's great for him. He will look back one day, when his career is over, and he'll never forget that Liverpool crowd."

The two Liverpool greats have won every trophy imaginable since joining the club during the same summer 2017 transfer window: the Champions League, the FA Cup, the League Cup (twice), the Premier League (twice), the Community Shield, the Club World Cup, and others.

It has been widely reported that Robertson will join Tottenham at the end of the campaign. Salah praised the left-back in a social media post that showed photos of the two together.

"With these pictures showing the bond we shared, I almost felt I could get away with saying nothing about you leaving," Salah wrote. "It’s been an honor to be your teammate and your friend. You’ve won it all and you leave as a legend. I’m sure we will meet again."

Robertson appeared in a Sky Sports interview after the game with 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha, who scored the game's first goal with a tidy right-footed finish.

"Great finish and great performance," the always-professional Robertson said. "He just keeps learning and listening; he's such a great kid. Him and Trey are a pleasure to work with. You can see them improving all the time.

"He has a big future, but the here and now is pretty good as well.

"He was unbelievable.

"It shows that sometimes don't listen to the experienced players. I'm screaming on coming the overlap and he goes and cuts inside."
