Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk has not played for Chelsea for more than a year and is training away from the first team after he tested positive for an adverse finding in November 2024
Mykhailo Mudryk has sent a reminder that he is working hard, despite his ban from football. The Ukraine international is unable to train with Chelsea as he awaits the verdict on his doping case after an 'adverse finding in a routine urine test'.
Mudryk has not played for the Blues since November 2024 and is training away from Cobham with a private coach. Not for the first time, the 25-year-old posted a video of himself completing shooting drills on Uxbridge FC's 3G pitch.
The winger uploaded a compilation of goals to his Instagram Story, showing his efforts with both feet, firing shots and knocking a ball past a dummy. Mudryk now sports a new look, quite different from the bleach-blond colours many will remember him for.
The mega-money signing has been out of action for more than a year after being provisionally suspended following his positive test. Mudryk faces a ban of up to four years but the exact punishment has yet to be revealed.

Earlier this year, Mudryk told fans not to give up on him. "Happy New year to all my fans," Mudryk wrote.
"I just wanted to say thank you for your support. I see all your messages and truly appreciate them, so please don't give up on me as I not give up on myself. Can't wait to see you soon."
In November, World Anti-Doping Agency president Witold Banka suggested that his body were waiting for a decision from the FA. "First of all, we are waiting for a disciplinary decision in his case (from the Football Association of England). As of today, we do not know when it will come," Banka said.
"Then, according to the anti-doping code, we will request the player's documentation and will decide whether we agree with this disciplinary decision. We can appeal in two cases: if we consider the decision too harsh or too lenient."
Mudryk was also recently brought up in conversation by Brentford owner Matthew Benham. The Bees chief, who was speaking at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston, revealed Mudryk was one of a number of players his side missed out on signing for small fees.
"There's always going to be ones you regret," he said. "I was saying before that we could have signed Eze for £4m I think in 2019. We could also have signed Marmoush on a free about three years ago.
"[We could have signed both] for about £4m combined. The summer we got promoted to the Premier League, there was actually two players that scouted amazingly, amazingly well.
"One was Mudryk which was maybe a bit complicated if we signed, although we were quite close to signing him for a low fee, for about €20m. Eventually, he went for more like €80m though he's currently serving a drug ban.
"Then Michael Olise, his scouting was unbelievable, out of this world but we just got promoted and we weren't used to the crazy agent fees in the Premier League at the time."
