Hello and welcome to football.london for live and extensive coverage of Chelsea's Champions League showdown with Napoli this evening.
The Blues take on Antonio Conte's Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in what is set to be the most significant match of the season so far from a Chelsea point of view. Chelsea - bar a bizarre turn of events - have to win tonight to stand a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages via the top eight in the league phase.
However, even a win for the west Londoners might not be enough. Going into matchday eight, the Blues occupy eighth in the table, with Barcelona and Sporting CP, who take on Copenhagen and Athletic Club respectively tonight, level on points with Liam Rosenior's side and are only a goal behind in the all important goal difference.
