Liverpool FC’s upcoming 2025–26 season will mark the club’s return to Adidas as kit manufacturer, ending their five-year deal with Nike. The officially confirmed partnership begins on August 1, meaning the Reds will sport their previous season's Nike kits for most of the pre-season before the $81 million-a-year Adidas deal supplying all first-team, academy, and training wear starts.
In advance of the official launch, Footy Headlines has leaked the home, away, and third kit designs. All three kits are expected to debut in early August, with official availability set to coincide with the partnership start.
The home jersey maintains Liverpool’s traditional red, officially named “Strawberry Red,” paired with crisp white Adidas logos and trim. Design lines appear to echo the classic 2006–07 template, featuring a streamlined collar and simplified sleeve cuffs reminiscent of that era. The authentic version reportedly uses the same high-performance polyester fabric found in other Adidas 25–26 kits.
Liverpool’s 2025–26 away strip is leaked as “Wonder White,” an off-white base accented with black detailing and subtle red highlights. The design includes refined changes around the collar and underarm panels, creating a clean yet dynamic look that echoes elements of the home shirt.
The most striking leak comes via the third kit, rendered in a pastel “Sea Green” — a nod to the iconic EQT Green shade — paired with white details.
The shirt incorporates the vintage Trefoil Adidas logo and revives a retro Liverpool crest from the late 1980s to early 1990s. Matching white shorts and EQT‑green socks complete the set.
Liverpool’s deal with Adidas is reportedly worth over £60 million annually, significantly exceeding the previous five‑year Nike arrangement. The contract spans five seasons, marking Adidas’s third stint as Liverpool’s kit maker — first from 1985 to 1996, then 2006 to 2012, and now returning from 2025 onward.
Because Nike’s partnership continues until July 31, Liverpool will wear existing Nike gear throughout pre-season. The new Adidas kits will debut during the pre-season friendly double-header at Anfield on August 4 — home and away kits — and enter competitive Premier League use from the August 16 opener.
Early reactions on social media show nostalgia for the retro aesthetic. Fans note the home kit’s collar and simplistic trim evoke memories of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres era strips, while some express mixed views on the added white piping.
