Everything you need to know about Chelsea and Aston Villa injury news before their Premier League meeting

  1. Cole Palmer fitness update: Head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed that after a steady build-up of minutes in recent games, Cole Palmer is now physically ready for a 90-minute shift.
  2. Double injury return: Both Liam Delap and Estevao have recovered from their respective issues and are confirmed as available for selection this Saturday. The former has been out since the Bournemouth match with a shoulder injury, while the latter picked up a muscular issue.
  3. Dario Essugo latest: Dario Essugo is back in training after undergoing surgery a few months ago. However, his match fitness remains a question mark, and it is currently unclear if he will make the matchday squad.
  4. Romeo Lavia absence: Romeo Lavia remains unavailable for selection, due to injury. The midfielder is still out with a quad issue, which will take a little longer to recover from.
