Nottingham Forest Suffer Setback as PSG Reject €30M Bid for Man Utd, Arsenal Target

PSG have assembled a deep squad that has brought them close to a treble, but one player could be weighing a move amid reported interest from clubs abroad.

Under Luis Enrique, PSG have leaned on that depth to win consecutive Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup, rotating players to keep them fresh across multiple competitions.

Not every player is satisfied with a rotational role, though. Some want more consistent minutes, and Kang-in Lee seems to be one of them. He played a key role in PSG’s Super Cup comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur, showing his impact when on the pitch.

CaughtOffside previously reported, citing sources, that Napoli, Manchester United, and Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the South Korean midfielder, with Arsenal reportedly making direct contact to express interest.

Premier League clubs remain keen on Kang-in Lee

Loic Tanzi of L’Equipe reports that Nottingham Forest have submitted a €30 million bid for Lee, with the potential for another €30 million in add-ons.

PSG turned down the offer and are currently unwilling to discuss a transfer. Forest are prepared to raise their proposal if PSG soften their stance. AC Milan, Napoli, and Fulham are also keeping an eye on the situation.

Kang-in Lee urged to leave PSG

With Premier League clubs and others keen on him, Korean journalist Nam Jang-hyun believes that the PSG standout should depart the French capital in search of a more prominent role.

“Korean media and fans are asking a lot of questions about whether Kang-in Lee is being given enough opportunities,” Jang-hyun told Foot Mercato. “I know it’s impossible for PSG to play all their starters in every match, but many find it hard to understand why he is consistently left out of important games.

“This is a World Cup year, which raises serious concerns about maintaining his performance level. No matter the size of the club, it’s difficult for a player who can’t play regularly to perform well.”
