Ossie Ardiles issues Tottenham rallying cry with clear 3-step plan for a brighter tomorrow

Ossie Ardiles has urged unity at Tottenham Hotspur as the club continues to hover just above the relegation zone with the season entering its decisive stretch.

Getting out of the relegation fight is the main focus for Tottenham Hotspur, with ten games left to play in the Premier League this season.

Many pundits believe Spurs will be safe, while even AI predictions have backed Tottenham to avoid the drop.

But in the Premier League, you can never be too safe, especially when victories have been hard to come by for Tottenham, who have managed just two wins in their 19 outings and are winless in their last ten.

Tottenham relegation warning as Ossie Ardiles calls for unity

Former Tottenham player and manager Ossie Ardiles has now issued a rallying cry to his old club as he hopes they avoid what he described as “big, big trouble” in the Premier League.

Ahead of Thursday’s visit of Crystal Palace, the former Spurs boss told the Press Association, as relayed by ESPN, that everyone connected with the club must unite behind the team during this difficult period.

He said: “Our job, everybody at the club, my job and the job of everybody in Tottenham is to go behind the team.

“We are OK right now but we could be in big, big trouble. So, everybody has to be together to achieve what we want to achieve. Survive this season and then we will see what happens next.”

Spurs must heed warning signs after difficult campaign

Of course, this season should serve as a major warning sign for Tottenham, who have been steadily regressing over the last couple of campaigns.

Spurs should have learned from last season’s 17th-place finish, but it is clear that no lessons were taken, and now they find themselves in an even worse situation.

The Premier League is developing fast, and even the so-called smaller teams have top players capable of competing.

When a so-called bigger club like Tottenham lacks world-class quality both in the dugout and on the pitch, it becomes harder to compete.

It will be vital that Spurs avoid the drop and then sign quality players who can elevate their level, before appointing a top manager capable of delivering a style of football that fits the ethos of the club.
