Soccer star Delaney Baie (DB) Pridham has added Northern Super League player of the year honours to her trophy case.

The Ottawa Rapid scorer is also the new league's forward of the year, earning the golden boot award for the most goals with 18.

Pridham, a dual Canadian-American citizen born in northern California, led the NSL in both shots (83) and shots on target (42). She scored the league's first hat trick in June.

Ottawa's Jyllissa Harris was named the NSL defender of the year last week. The two Rapid players, plus defender Olivia Scott and midfielder Min A Lee, also made the league's "team of the year."

The Rapid finished second in the six-team league, earning 11 wins, eight losses and six ties for 39 points in 25 games.

They play the Vancouver Rise in a home-and-home semifinal series next week.
