Paul Scholes is a big fan of one Tottenham Hotspur star who has hit the headlines for controversial reasons over the last week.
Tottenham currently find themselves in a major crisis, with relegation appearing a realistic prospect for the Lilywhites.
Igor Tudor looks to be the man coming in to try to steady the ship. He will need to repeat his impressive work at Juventus, Lazio, and Udinese to avoid a shock Tottenham relegation.
To make matters worse, one of the club’s most important players has been stirring up controversy over recent days and appears unsettled.

Paul Scholes admits he loves Tottenham captain Cristian Romero
Cristian Romero has been blasted by pundits after his second red card of the season, which incurred a four-match suspension for the defender.
It came just a few days after Romero labelled Tottenham’s shortage of players a ‘disgrace’, which some fans saw as a potential dig at the club for failing to sign more players in January.
Scholes has now admitted that he loves the Argentine’s outspoken nature and would take him at Man United in a heartbeat.
The pundit said on The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast about Romero: “Do you know what? I love him. He’s pi***d off at Spurs, isn’t he? He doesn’t want to be there.
“He’s having a go at the crowd, he’s having a go at the board, I think his head has checked out a little bit. But I would love him at Manchester United. I just love his character.”
Romero wants out but Spurs expected to remain firm
It emerged last week that Romero has decided he wants to leave Tottenham at the end of this season.
According to reports, the Spurs captain is attracting interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid ahead of the summer window.
However, a recent update claimed that Tottenham are expected to ‘hold firm’ amidst the growing interest in Romero and have reassured the centre-back that there are plans for a ‘significant rebuild’ of the squad in the summer.
