Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola will be back in front of the media on Tuesday afternoon as the Blues prepare for their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg vs Newcastle United tomorrow night.
Referee decisions are likely to be on the agenda once again for Guardiola in his press conference after the controversy surrounding Dominic Solanke's opener for Tottenham on Sunday. City midfielder Rodri also insisted the officials 'need to be neutral', comments which could land the Spaniard in hot water.
After losing ground in the Premier League title race, Guardiola will be keen to focus on the possibility of making their first final of the season in the Carabao Cup. City hold a two-goal lead going into the return leg at the Etihad Stadium thanks to second-half strikes from Antoine Semenyo and Rayan Cherki in the north east.
Cherki had to go off during the draw at Tottenham on Sunday with a knock and Guardiola is expected to provide the latest on the forward in his press conference. The winner of the semi-final will face either Arsenal or Chelsea at Wembley Stadium next month.
