Manchester City assistant manager Pep Lijnders spoke about the spirit of the team as they chase more trophies
Manchester City are hungry for more titles after tasting success in the Carabao Cup. The Blues built on their 2-0 win over Arsenal at Wembley last month by dismantling Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals to close in on another trophy.
City are through to the last four of the FA Cup after a 4-0 battering of Premier League champions Liverpool that included a hat-trick for Erling Haaland and a masterclass from Rayan Cherki. They may well have to beat Arsenal again to lift the trophy, with the Gunners one of a number of sides left in ahead of their Saturday evening game at Southampton, but will fear nobody as they head back to Wembley.
Former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders was in the City dugout to face his former club with Pep Guardiola serving a touchline ban, and the No.2 spoke of how City's win over Arsenal has lifted the whole group as they hunt for more silverware.

"I always believe the Carabao Cup is such an important competition for the whole structure of the club, a lot of players make debuts or get minutes. It is unbelievable you can get minutes in February or March," he said. "Winning a final against Arsenal, especially in the way we did, creates more hunger for us because you know you can do it. This is a new team and it is a credit for them how we are all winning together.
"There are two things sure in Manchester: the weather is not good and Pep doing meetings with the team. The main thing is our senior players own it and the responsibility of that group and then good things go when Bernardo, Ruben, Rodri, Erling continue to see each game as a final."
City will also take confidence into their Premier League battle with Arsenal despite being nine points behind at the top of the table. They have a game in hand on the leaders - at home to Crystal Palace - and also welcome the Gunners to the Etihad in two weeks in a game that could have big consequences for the title.
