Thomas Frank has left his position as Tottenham Hotspur head coach after six months with the club, leaving them sitting 16th in the table.
A 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle United proved to be the final straw for the Dane's tenure in north London. Goals from Malick Thiaw and Jacob Ramsey inflicted a seventh league defeat of the season, extending Spurs' winless run in the Premier League to eight.
Their most recent triumph came in a 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace but they sit just five points clear of the bottom four. Spurs will now have a new man in the dugout for next Sunday's showdown with league leaders and London rivals Arsenal (4.30pm kick-off) before taking on Fulham, Palace and Liverpool on the other side of the international break in mid-March.
Pressure has been mounting on Frank, and it came to a head on Wednesday morning, less than 12 hours after full-time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In a statement, Tottenham wrote: "The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today.

"Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.
"However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.
"Throughout his time at The Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future."
