Following another pivotal weekend in the Premier League, Arsenal's final points tally has been forecasted. The Gunners could only draw to Manchester City at Emirates Stadium at the weekend, leaving them in second place.
Liverpool, meanwhile, continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Everton in Saturday's Merseyside derby. The Reds now have a five-point lead at the top of the league standings, having played just five matches.
With only two more Premier League fixtures left before the next international break, a new prediction for the final table has emerged. Opta Analysts have crunched the numbers and still back Liverpool to secure the Premier League title once again this season. The forecast suggests that Liverpool will finish with 82 points (81.51), comfortably ahead of second-placed Arsenal who are predicted to end up with 74 points (73.9).
Manchester City are tipped to secure third place in the final table with 67 points, while Chelsea (62) and Crystal Palace (60) are expected to complete the top five, reports the Mirror. Liverpool have also been given a 60.5 percent chance of being crowned Premier League champions once again this season. According to the prediction, the Reds are the clear favourites, with Arsenal considered the next most likely to lift the title with a 22.5 percent probability.

Arsenal's next Premier League challenge will see them heading north to take on Newcastle United on Sunday. "I'm very proud of the team," Arteta expressed after the City draw. "We dominated them. I'm very disappointed with the result.
"We started incredibly well, so dominant, we didn't allow them to breathe, but in one action, it was very chaotic, there was a duel there, we lose it, and suddenly they find themselves with open spaces and they are lethal there. They finished it with the quality that they have.
"After that we had five shaky minutes that we have to reset mentally because it was so unfair that we concede a goal with what we were doing and after that we completely dominated the game again.
"If you cannot win it, at least don't lose it, and we created an unbelievable moment to score the goal. But the overall feeling, because I know how hard it is to do what we've done on the pitch against Manchester City, I wanted more reward for the team."
