Tottenham Hotspur have failed to secure victories in five of their seven matches over the past month, but there are a couple of favourable fixtures coming up soon.

We’ve made our prediction for Tottenham Hotspur’s next five fixtures in all competitions and it is hard to feel optimistic based on recent displays.

Tottenham will exit the FA Cup at the first hurdle

Spurs will finally take a break from Premier League action to focus on their FA Cup third round tie against Aston Villa, the team who knocked them out of the competition last season.

With Unai Emery’s side sitting third in the Premier League table, he may choose to field a weakened team on Saturday. However, Thomas Frank might do the same, as he did in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

Tottenham have a poor record against Aston Villa in recent years and are a team in poor form. It would not be surprising if the visitors wrap up the win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, handing Frank and his side an early exit.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Aston Villa

Spurs could suffer embarrassment against West Ham

As bad as Tottenham are at this moment in time, any West Ham supporter attempting to draw comparisons needs to take a long hard look at their team.

The Hammers are truly abysmal and cannot win a game to save their lives, but then again neither could be Bournemouth until Wednesday night.

Spurs thrashed West Ham 3-0 back in September, but they were playing a lot better back then. This time around could be more difficult and the reaction from the fans will not be pleasant.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 West Ham United

Borussia Dortmund will hand Tottenham their first Champions League defeat

Dortmund have reclaimed their status as the closest competitors to Bayern Munich after two consecutive underwhelming Bundesliga campaigns.

Their matches in the Champions League this season have been high scoring, but this might change when they face Tottenham.

Frank may well take a cautious approach to the game, making his team harder to break down. However, their own creativity could suffer as a result which will only end one way.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

Spurs should be defeating Burnley in the Premier League

Tottenham have recorded some really poor results against teams near the bottom of the Premier League table, including defeats to Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth. Therefore, it would be surprising if they suffer another poor away day and drop points against Burnley.

However, the top flight newcomers do seem out of their depth and this may well be the chance Spurs take at ending this winless run.

Burnley’s home form at the moment is even worse than Tottenham’s based on goal difference, so let us hope this fixture will end in three points for the visitors.

Prediction: Burnley 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham may struggle to repeat their Europa League heroics against Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have already recorded two 5-1 defeats in Europe this season against Atletico Madrid and Liverpool respectively, but they defeated Galatasaray by the same scoreline.

More recently the Bundeliga club were narrowly beaten by Barcelona and their match against Spurs could be another close call.

Tottenham won away in Frankfurt last season on their way to the Europa League trophy. However, they did this against Bodo/Glimt, yet were unable to defeat them earlier this season. The final game of the league phase could be one where the points are shared.

Prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
