Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League title have been given a major boost after this weekend's results.
The Gunners claimed a 2-0 win over West Ham on Saturday afternoon to move to the top of the Premier League table going into the October international break.
Mikel Arteta's side were handed a major boost after Liverpool were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea on Saturday evening, as the reigning champions missed the chance to leapfrog Arsenal in the table with seven matches played.
There will now be two weeks before Arsenal are back in Premier League action, where they will next face Fulham on October 18. The game will give the Gunners a chance to extend their lead at the top of the table before Liverpool face Manchester United 24 hours later.

The website has crunched the numbers and believes that Arsenal will win the Premier League title this season ahead of rivals Liverpool.
The prediction has Arsenal finishing top of the table with 77 points (77.04), ahead of Liverpool, who are tipped to finish second on 75 points (74.99).
Manchester City are next in the predicted table with a final points total of 68 (67.6). Crystal Palace complete the top four with 63 (63.17) points while Chelsea are fifth with 61 (61.43) points and could qualify for the Champions League based on English coefficient in UEFA's rankings.
Arsenal are also the team most likely to win the Premier League title according to the prediction. The Gunners have a 44.23 percent chance of being crowned champions, while Liverpool have a 32.17 percent likelihood.
The Reds's defeat at Chelsea made it three defeats in a row in all competitions and boss Arne Slot gave his thoughts post-match at Stamford Bridge.
"It’s challenging,” Slot said. “You prefer to have them with you at moments like this, but I’ve said it before, there’s not one game that we’ve won easily, and there’s not one game that we’ve lost easily.
“The players fight really hard and do everything to get the result in a league that’s not the easiest one, and in a week where you have to play Palace away and Chelsea away, we were again very close to a result, which we should be because we’re Liverpool, but unfortunately it didn’t fall for us in the right manner twice.”
