PSG secured a 2-0 win over RC Lens on Sunday to stay atop Ligue 1. However, that win came at a crucial cost as the Parisians’ depth continues to be tested early in the 2025-26 season.

Moreover, these injuries are coming at not an ideal time with the UEFA Champions League set to get underway this upcoming week.

The Parisians have been handed a tough Champions League draw, opening with high-stakes clashes against Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Tottenham Hotspur are also in the group, setting up an early rematch of their fiery Super Cup meeting just weeks ago.

Furthermore, the challenge doesn’t stop there for PSG. Newcastle United and Athletic Bilbao add further competition, while Bayer Leverkusen, Atalanta, and Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon complete their path through the league phase.

The severity of these injuries is unknown yet, but the capital club is already missing Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué. However, PSG should have a healthy Doué for the Barcelona clash. Still, one player is on the verge of returning, and three more going down isn’t ideal.
