PSG Get Brutal Transfer News Involving Man Utd Outcast

With the winter transfer window now open, PSG can reinforce its squad for the rest of the 2025–26 season while still focusing on long-term goals.

The club’s approach with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia shows this strategy in action. PSG tracked the winger throughout 2024 and only moved in early 2025 when it aligned with their wider plan.

Football Insider reports PSG are watching Marcus Rashford’s situation at Barcelona. The Spanish club seems ready to activate its €35 million release clause, but PSG could step in if the deal stalls.

Transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, however, pointed out that while PSG are eyeing a versatile forward in 2026, a move for Rashford this season isn’t being considered.

The latest on Rashford comes from CaughtOffside, who reported on Jan. 14 that PSG have admired Rashford for years and have explored a potential swap deal involving Bradley Barcola. But Rashford does not want a move to France, making this scenario highly unlikely.

According to a recent report from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Rashford has told Barcelona he wants to remain with the club beyond this season. While a formal deal hasn’t been finalized, Barcelona are reportedly “very happy” with the England international’s impact so far.

The Catalan side can make the move from Manchester United permanent for roughly €30 million this summer. Moreover, the forward recently stated that he wants to remain with the Catalan side and does not intend to return to Man Utd.

“Of course, what I want is to stay at Barca,” Rashford told Sport“It’s the ultimate goal, but it’s not the reason I’m training hard and giving my all. The purpose is to win. Barca is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles. There is pressure here, but it’s not negative pressure; it’s the kind you crave as a player, the kind I want and have always wanted as a footballer.

“I can’t be in a place where there aren’t high expectations; for me, it’s harder to stay motivated and give my best at a club where the demands aren’t at their peak. I’m in the perfect place and environment to continue my journey as a footballer, so I’m just trying to give my best every day and help the team win. We’ll see what happens next summer.”
