PSG endured a rough start against Bayern Munich, conceding twice to Luis Díaz before halftime. Their troubles deepened when Achraf Hakimi had to be substituted after a heavy challenge from Díaz.
Hakimi left the pitch in tears, unable to put any weight on his left foot and needing help to make his way off. Following a VAR check, Díaz was sent off with a straight red card, reducing Bayern Munich to 10 players for the second half.
The first half also brought more bad news for PSG as Ousmane Dembélé picked up an injury, capping off a tough opening period.
Even with the man advantage, PSG could only find the net once. The match ended 2-1 in Bayern Munich’s favor at the Parc des Princes, leaving Luis Enrique’s team frustrated with the result.
What’s the Latest on the Achraf Hakimi Injury

AS reports (h/t Paris Fans) that the PSG defender sustained a tear to the femoral syndesmosis, along with minor damage to the deltoid muscle. As a result, he’ll need to keep the joint immobilized for two weeks before facing an additional six to eight weeks on the sidelines to fully recover.
Enrique also spoke about the incident after the match and didn’t blame Diaz for the injury to Hakimi, citing it as a regular part of football and the physicality of the sport.

“We have to wait until tomorrow after the tests to know about the players’ injuries,” Enrique said at his press conference (h/t RMC Sport). “For Ousmane, it has nothing to do with the previous one.
“But he played for the time you saw. Hakimi’s situation is part of football — it’s a contact sport. It’s unfortunate. It’s tough for the players. I remember, for example, Musiala’s injury. Tomorrow will be the day when the doctors provide updates.”
