PSG could be looking at a midfield overhaul as part of their long-term planning. Vitinha and João Neves are expected to remain central to the squad, but uncertainty lingers with Warren Zaïre-Emery possibly dissatisfied with his role and Fabián Ruiz approaching his 30th birthday by the season’s end.
These factors may drive changes in the coming year. The club has shown it’s willing to make bold decisions, as seen recently with Gianluigi Donnarumma’s situation. PSG seems intent on staying ahead of challenges rather than just reacting to them.
On the transfer front, reports indicate Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali could be a target as PSG looks to strengthen its midfield.
How Much Could Sandro Tonali Cost?

According to the latest reports from TuttoJuve, PSG are among the clubs interested in signing Tonali. The 25-year-old midfielder, who has been at Newcastle for two years, is also attracting interest from several Italian clubs.
Signed by the Magpies for €70 million in 2023, Sandro Tonali will not be sold at a discount if a transfer were to happen in the coming months. In fact, according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Newcastle will not part with their midfielder for less than €80 million.

Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke recently reported that Newcastle United are aiming to lock down Sandro Tonali’s future, even as other clubs keep a close eye on the midfielder at St James’ Park.
According to the report, Tonali isn’t rushing to leave, as long as Newcastle continue competing for trophies. Extending his contract could put an end to any ongoing transfer rumors.
“As long as Newcastle are competing for silverware or able to offer Champions League football to Sandro Tonali, I don’t think he will be in any rush to leave St James’ Park as well,” O’Rourke said.
“I’m sure the club will sit down and have discussions over a potential new contract just to sort of ward off that interest and kill off that speculation of a possible move back to Italy. You’ve got to remember Newcastle stood by Tonoli after all the off-field stuff with the betting suspension and everything else.
“So they’ll be hoping that he would show a bit of loyalty and decide to stay at Newcastle as well. Yeah, I don’t see any move for him in the immediate future back to Italy.”
