PSG doesn’t appear to be making big moves now that the January transfer window is open. Nonetheless, the Parisians seem content with the squad that they have.
Still, with PSG garnering attention after their treble last season, more players want to be a part of the project under sporting advisor Luis Campos and Luis Enrique.
Le Parisien reports (h/t Foot01) that PSG’s management has no plans to overhaul the squad, focusing instead on replacing any potential departures. The paper highlights several potential signings, including names not previously linked to PSG.
One standout is Ismael Saibari, who has enjoyed a stellar first half of the season with PSV Eindhoven, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
The report adds that Saibari, currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco, reached out to the European champions in December about a possible winter move. PSG has yet to respond. Behind the scenes, Saibari’s profile appeals to Campos and Enrique, who are keeping the option in mind should a winger or attacking midfielder leave.
PSG Could Be Looking at Young Gem Options

However, the reigning UEFA Champions League winners could be laying the groundwork for a summer move. The same French outlet notes that forward Anisio Cabral and defensive midfielder Rafael Quintas, both 17 and playing for Benfica Lisbon, are highly regarded by PSG.

These cases will be highly competitive, as both Portuguese players are also targets for Manchester United and Manchester City.
In other words, the PSG’s management have many files on its desk. Still, real movement is expected next summer, with this winter transfer window primarily serving to cover departures and capitalize on any market opportunities.
