Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp might be tempted to take the reins at Spanish team Real Madrid, lured by the country's sunny climate.
Xabi Alonso parted company with the club after Madrid's defeat to bitter rival Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday. Alvaro Arbeloa has stepped into the managerial role, but speculation persists about potential high-profile successors.
Klopp, who spent nearly a decade at Liverpool and clinched several major titles, including the Premier League and Champions League, is among those being mentioned. The Liverpool legend departed at the close of the 2023-24 season, citing a depletion of energy.

Now, comments made by the German in 2021 about the prospect of managing in Spain have resurfaced.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool's quarterfinal tie in the Champions League, Klopp humorously remarked on how "blessed" people were to live and work in Spain.

He quipped: "When we flew out, I regret we don't live here! The weather is so much better here. You are blessed!"
When probed further, Klopp added: "There are three good clubs. I would fit to all of them. Only problem I have is my Spanish is really bad!
"You wouldn't enjoy having me in Spain with broken Spanish. All the clubs have great managers. Real Mallorca would be nice!"
These remarks could be seen as a significant clue that the former Reds boss might contemplate a managerial comeback with the Spanish team.
Meanwhile, Klopp shared his thoughts on Alonso's dismissal with ServusTV On, acknowledging that the departure reveals something significant about contemporary football.
He said: "First of all, I think it's another sign that something isn't quite right there at the moment.
"If Xabi Alonso, who over the last two years in Leverkusen has shown what an outstanding coaching talent he is – and I think at his age and with the number of jobs he's had, you can say that - is then forced to leave Madrid just six months later, it shows a few things.
"On the one hand, it shows that nowadays there's no time anymore. On the other, the expectations at Real Madrid are obviously enormous. To make a decision like that in the heat of the moment, after losing a final to Barcelona yesterday, says a lot."
