Real Madrid could reignite its pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister after receiving "positive" signals regarding a potential transfer.
The Spanish team previously monitored the 2022 World Cup winner during Carlo Ancelotti's tenure at the helm. Real Madrid didn't pursue that interest further, with the Italian coach eventually leaving his post. However, Los Blancos appear to maintain their admiration for Mac Allister.
According to The Athletic, the Argentine remains highly regarded at the club, having been given "positive feedback" about a possible move when he was previously under consideration. With just 18 months left on Mac Allister's current Liverpool contract, a transfer could become more realistic.

He recently netted twice in Liverpool's dominant 6-0 Champions League triumph over Qarabag.
Speaking after those strikes, he said: "I love getting in the box, and I love scoring goals. I know I don't do it very often, but I really like it, and I think with the change at half-time, I went a little bit higher on the pitch, and that allowed me to get in the box a little bit more.
"My second goal was a little bit lucky but good, and then I'm still thinking about the third one! It could have been a hat-trick, my first one."

Mac Allister isn't the only midfielder on Real Madrid's radar as Los Blancos prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Nico Paz from Como is likely to make a return, with Real holding a €9 million ($10.6 million) buy-back clause.
Kees Smit from AZ and Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace are also potential targets, but neither will come cheap.
The Dutch club is hoping to pocket around €60 million ($70.9 million) for Smit, while Palace has set a hefty price tag of over £100 million ($137 million) for England star Wharton.
In addition to midfield reinforcements, Real is reportedly keen to strengthen its defense ahead of the 2026-27 season.
With Dani Carvajal expected to depart this summer, former Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold would be left as the club's sole traditional right-back.
The England international made his move to Spain last summer after running down his contract at Liverpool.
However, his debut season at the Bernabeu has been marred by injuries, limiting him to just 11 appearances for his new club.
