Riccardo Calafiori has described Arsenal as "locked in" after they began the new Premier League season with a 1-0 win over Manchester United.
The Italian defender headed home the only goal of the game 13 minutes into the fixture at Old Trafford as he capitalised on a sloppy bit of goalkeeping from Altay Bayindir.
Three points sets last season's runners-up up nicely ahead of tough fixtures against Leeds United, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle United before the end of September.
Mikel Arteta's side will be hoping the win can be the beginning of a Premier League title push after finishing in second place to Manchester City and Liverpool in the last two seasons.

And despite their sub-par performance, Arsenal's players seemed united in thinking that coming away with the three points was ultimately all that mattered as they eye an elusive piece of silverware this season.
Taking to Instagram after the game in Manchester, Calafiori wrote: "First game of the season and 3 points. Lots to do. We keep going. #Lockedin."
Meanwhile, club captain Martin Odegaard wrote: "3 points to start the season."
Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta said a win against United would give his team "confidence and momentum" ahead of a 10-month campaign they hope will end in Premier League glory.
"It gives you certainly momentum and confidence," said the Spaniard. "Two very important things. Because you know that when you're not at your standards in certain aspects, which today we weren't, being fair, we can still come away and find a way to win the game.
"And the team has to find that resilience throughout the season for 10 months in different contexts to be able to do that. Of course, we have to improve a lot of things and that will happen very soon. But in terms of managing to get that into a very positive result, that's a great way to do it."
Arsenal face Leeds United in their next game as the Premier League newcomers travel to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, August 23 (kick-off 5.30pm).
