Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes is set to make the final decision on whether Mohamed Salah travels with the squad for the game against Inter Milan.
Salah delivered a shock interview after Saturday's draw with Leeds, in which he accused the club of throwing him under the bus before suggesting his relationship with Arne Slot had broken down.
The Egyptian admitted he was unsure if he would be involved against Inter, or Brighton this weekend, but he did train with his teammates on Monday as preparations began for the trip to Italy. However, the Athletic reports he is expected to be left out of the squad.
It is stated that a final decision had not been made and Salah's case may be helped by the fact that Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa both missed training.
However, the report claims that Hughes, alongside the club's ownership, will make the call and show their support for boss Slot, who holds the title of head coach.
