Roberto De Zerbi has once again turned to his senior figures, urging key Tottenham players to rise to the occasion as the club battles to avoid relegation in the final stretch of the season.
Roberto De Zerbi has been sending a rallying cry to his players, calling on those he believes are leaders within the squad to step up.
De Zerbi demanded more from Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke before the Brighton game, and his call was heard, with both players putting in top displays.
Simons grabbed a goal and an assist against the Seagulls, while Solanke was more involved in the game, linking up well with both the Dutchman and Destiny Udogie on the left.

Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi names players to step up vs Wolves
Ahead of the clash against Wolves this weekend, De Zerbi has once again sent out a call to his players, naming several individuals he wants to see step up as Spurs continue their fight to beat the drop.
Speaking about those who impressed him and whom he expects more from, De Zerbi told the official Tottenham channels: “I think Xavi Simons but also (Conor) Gallagher (stepped up against Brighton). I watched the same Gallagher when he played in Chelsea.
“Dominic Solanke played a great game. Micky van de Ven. I do not know what was the problem, but everyone knows my opinion about him. Pedro Porro scored a goal, but he played an important game.”
Spurs rely on key players in relegation battle
De Zerbi also outlined further players he expects to raise their levels, explaining how confidence and consistency will be key in the final run-in.
Continuing his comments, he said: “(Destiny) Udogie, (Kevin) Danso. I think maybe he can improve his confidence.
“Not in his attitude because he is a good guy and he worked a lot in the defensive phase. Especially in the defensive phase. Kolo Muani and Mathys Tel can both play better.
“But not can play better because they are playing bad but because they have a big, big talent. And I want to see all this talent on the pitch.”
Spurs will now look to those players to deliver when it matters most, with performances in the coming weeks set to define their Premier League survival hopes.
