Manchester City injury news after Rodri was forced off in the first half of the Premier League win over Brentford
Manchester City lost midfielder Rodri to a hamstring injury in the first half of the 1-0 Premier League win over Brentford on Sunday evening.
The midfielder, feeling his way back to full form and fitness after a serious knee injury that ruled him out for most of last season, was replaced inside the first quarter.
But the 29-year-old provided a positive update after the game and with Rayan Cherki back on the bench at Brentford after his own injury absence, and three more stars due back over the international break, there is more positive picture at the Etihad. Here's the injury latest.

Injury: Hamstring
The midfielder started at Brentford but was forced off inside 20 minutes with a hamstring injury. He will miss Spain's upcoming matches but spoke positively after the game about his prospects of being fit to feature when City return to action after the international break.
"I felt a little bit in the hamstring but it seems like it's not that much," he said. "The good thing is the (international) break so it will be even better in this sense to recover these days and hopefully I can be in the next game."

Abdukodir Khusanov
Injury: Unknown
The Uzbekistan international had made the right back spot his own in the past few weeks with three successive starts in that position. But he was forced off injured at half time in the draw with Arsenal and is unlikely to return before the international break.

Omar Marmoush
Injury: Knee
Marmoush suffered an injury in the fourth minute of Egypt's goalless draw with Burkina Faso in September He tried to carry on but was withdrawn five minutes later.
He returned to Cairo on crutches and underwent a scan in Egypt to assess the extent of the damage. City have since confirmed the 26-year-old will be out for a few weeks and while they were hopeful he could return prior to the international break, it is understood he is targeting the Everton game when the Premier League returns from a two-week hiatus.

Rayan Ait-Nouri
Injury: Ankle
Ait-Nouri suffered an ankle injury in the early stages of his home debut against Tottenham,
The £31million summer signing from Wolves played against Brighton but did not join up with the Algeria squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Botswana and Guinea earlier this month.
The Algerian is not expected to return to training until the end of the October international break at the earliest. That could potentially put him in the frame to face Everton as he aims for a return to action next month.
