Manchester City transfer latest after Jack Grealish completed his move to Everton..

Manchester City are set for a busy end to the transfer window as Pep Guardiola seeks to trim down his squad.
The Blues have signed Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders and James Trafford this summer to take their 2025 spending past £300million.
That has left City needing to offload players before the window closes on September 1. Jack Grealish completed his departure on Tuesday night as he sealed a season-long loan move to Everton.
Grealish has two years left on his Etihad contract but has fallen down the pecking order at City and a move to Merseyside could prove to be a win-win for both clubs and the player himself as the 29-year-old seeks to reignite his career.
Grealish will be followed out of the exit door by James McAtee, with Nottingham Forest closing in on a deal for the midfielder.
McAtee has agreed personal terms with Nottingham Forest, with the club negotiating a fee with City. Talks are ongoing but there is confidence that a deal can be struck for the 22-year-old midfielder.
If those two exits were widely expected, the news this week that Tottenham are pursuing a deal for Savinho was a surprise.
City have held talks with Spurs but do not want to let Savinho go, having signed him from fellow City Football Group club Troyes last season for an initial £21m in a deal that could rise to £33m.
Despite City's reluctance to sell, Guardiola does not want to keep unhappy players and more generally has spoken about the squad needing to be cut down. If Savinho wants to push for a move, the club will not stand in his way.
They will, however, require a sizeable fee for a player who still has enormous potential and was one of the stars of La Liga two years ago. It will take more than £50m for City to even consider a deal with Spurs or any other interested clubs.
An exit for Savinho could prompt City to head back into the market to seek a replacement with Real Madrid's Rodrygo and Xavi Simons at RB Leipzig among those linked. There doesn't appear to be anything in the reports linking Simons with a switch while Rodrygo is an enticing prospect given how he has been a thorn in their Champions League side on more than one occasion in the epic tussles between the two clubs
As exciting a signing as Rodrygo would be for City, it would leave them in the same position as they are now: needing to sell another first-team player for their Champions League squad.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 more.
UEFA allow just 17 non-homegrown players to be registered and even allowing for the likely departures of Stefan Ortega (permanently), Sverre Nypan and Claudio Echeverri (both loans) the Blues have 18. Selling Savinho would drop City down to the magic number, but bringing in Rodrygo - or indeed any other non-homegrown player - as a replacement puts City back to needing a cut.
