Roy Keane has backed Liverpool to beat Manchester United 3-1 when English soccer's two most successful teams face off at Anfield on Sunday.
Both teams go into the game under pressure for different reasons, with Liverpool aiming to bounce back from a run of three successive defeats, while United is still searching for back-to-back Premier League wins under Ruben Amorim.
Amorim arrived at Old Trafford almost a year ago but has shown little to suggest he is capable of getting the Red Devils back on track. United has not won at Anfield since 2016, and despite Liverpool's recent rocky form, Keane thinks the Reds will get back to winning ways against his old club.
"I'm going to go 3-1 to Liverpool," Keane said on The Overlap, while Gary Neville confirmed Jamie Carragher's prediction, saying: "2-1 to Liverpool, he (Carragher) is going."
Ian Wright also plumped for a 3-1 win for the home side, while Jill Scott said that she expects Liverpool to record an emphatic win.
Neville neglected to give his own prediction for the game, which perhaps said enough about which team he thinks will win!
Meanwhile, Arne Slot does not think facing United will be an easy challenge, despite most people expecting the Reds to record a comfortable victory over their fiercest rivals.
United sits 10th in the table after seven games, but Slot believes the Red Devils' performances have been better than that of a 10th-placed side.
"I look forward to every single Premier League game but maybe even more towards the United one, because I know how special it is and I've experienced last season how special a game it is," Slot said in his pre-game press conference.
"We know that it's probably the game that's been watched the most all over the world. It's special to be part of it but in the end it's also a game where we have to be at our best, because United, in my opinion, has had a better start of the season than maybe the league table is showing.
"A very interesting game and a game to look forward to, especially because it's played at Anfield. I think our fans have been so supportive for us as long as I'm here and long before I was here.
"I think they understand that the team that has lost three times in a row, they need to be ready, our team, but I think our fans can help us and will help us on Sunday as well."
