Liverpool has secured the services of Ryan Gravenberch on a long-term basis after the Dutchman signed a lengthy contract extension to keep him at Anfield until 2032

Ryan Gravenberch said that his long-term ambition is to win as many trophies as possible with Liverpool after committing his long-term future to the Reds.

Gravenberch has signed a contract extension at Anfield that is believed to tie him to the club until 2032, by which point he will be 30 years old. The Dutchman's decision is an indicator that he intends to spend the best years of his career on Merseyside.

Gravenberch won the Premier League last season and is wasting no time in eyeing more silverware in the years ahead. “For the short term, [my aim is to] end the season as good as possible," Gravenberch told club media. "And for the long term: win many more trophies with Liverpool.

“I have a really nice relationship with [the fans]. Always when I do something good in the stadium I hear them singing my chant.

“I’m really grateful for the supporters because without them we would not be where we are now. In the future, we want to give them many more [trophies], so hopefully we can get that done.”

Gravenberch added: “I feel really, really good. I was really proud to extend my contract at such a big club. So, I’m really happy that I can stay for many more years.

“I felt directly the trust from the club, also from the manager. The decision for me was easy to make. My family is also happy here. We are now here almost three years, so I know everything already. I’m happy that I’m here.”

Gravenberch joined Liverpool from Bayern Munich when Jurgen Klopp was the manager in 2023, but it was upon Arne Slot's arrival at the club that he really started to establish himself as an important player for the team.

Gravenberch started 37 of Liverpool's 38 Premier League games last term, only missing the away game against Chelsea which immediately followed the Reds' confirmation as champions.

He has been similarly prominent this season, lining up in 27 of Liverpool's 29 league games.

Prior to joining Liverpool, Gravenberch came through the famed Ajax academy, before joining Bayern Munich in 2022, although he lined up just six times for the Bundesliga giant before joining Liverpool the following year.

In 123 appearances for Liverpool, the holding midfielder has registered eight goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
