Ryan Gravenberch said that Liverpool must be more patient in order to create more chances as the Reds gear up to face Wolves for the second time in four days.

Liverpool was beaten 2-1 at Molineux in the Premier League earlier this week, conceding an injury-time winner to the Midlands club.

The Reds have the opportunity to gain revenge immediately, and Gravenberch has identified what the team must do in order to progress to the last eight.

"It's a bit sore but we have to forget the result what we had and we have to move on and give it our all," Gravenberch told club media.

"I think we didn't play a really good game. In possession we have to be more patient, also not so sloppy and create more chances. Then if we create more chances, we will score goals."

On the fixture list quirk that has seen Liverpool scheduled to play two away games against the same team in the same week, Gravenberch said: "This is the first time that it's happened. We had them in the league and then on Friday we have the FA Cup game.

"We didn't get the result [on Tuesday], so I think we have to prepare well and show that we can get the result [on Friday].

"They have a good team. They are last in the league but I don't think they deserve to be there because they have a really good team – you saw that also in the game.

"I know it will be a tough game because they have the confidence as well. But we have to be mentally strong and show them that we can get the result as well."

Gravenberch is eyeing an FA Cup winner's medal to go with the Premier League one he claimed last year, as he unsurprisingly stated that he wants to win every competition that he plays in.

"I think as a player you want to win every trophy possible," Gravenberch said. "You want to win every game and that's the mentality you have to show. We go there and we will show that."

Liverpool remains without long-term absentees Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Alexander Isak and Wataru Endo for the trip to Wolves.

Florian Wirtz should be back in the squad after missing the last three games with a back problem.
